International buyers express their satisfaction with the size of the event and the offer offered by its exhibitors.
The new talents of children’s fashion parade on the catwalk with proposals in which blues and warm colours share the spotlight.
The Juntos por la Vida Foundation has visited the event to thank the exhibiting companies for their help to those affected by the dana.
The fifth edition of Babykid Spain + FIMI has reached its halfway point, generating great expectations among exhibitors and buyers, and consolidating itself as the benchmark event for the children’s sector at an international level. Buyers from the five continents have praised the magnitude of the fair and the diversity of proposals presented by the exhibiting brands.
Thanks to the support of ICEX and IVACE, and the joint work of Feria Valencia and ASEPRI, numerous international VIP buyers from 54 countries such as Italy, Portugal, the USA, Peru, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand, Turkey, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Egypt, among others, have made BKSFIMI a key meeting point for establishing business contacts and learning about the latest trends.
Thus, the French chain Vertbaudet, which has childcare, fashion and toys in its catalogue, emphasises that “it is the first time we have participated and we did not expect such a large and complete fair as the one we have found, with a wide variety of brands from both Spain and other countries. For us, BKSFIMI is already a very important event because it allows us to see the brands we work with and learn about future brands.”
The Hankuy department store, specialising in fashion and childcare and with more than 15 branches in Japan, is one of the veterans of BKSFIMI and continues to trust in the event: “we have been coming to the fair for 22 years and we think that it is one of the main events in the sector, which continues to surprise us.”
Buyers from the Niños y Niñas department store in the United Kingdom have visited Babykid Spain + FIMI for the second time, finding that compared to last year it was “a bigger fair, with more collections” in areas such as footwear, which has generated a “positive impression.”
The Italian Milazzo stores highlight that Babykid Spain + FIMI is “a very nice and well organised fair, with a large number of companies and with very good treatment towards VIP buyers.” These Italian buyers have found “a great variety of products from companies with which we can reach agreements,” so they consider their visit to the next edition to be a certainty.
Petitelin is the leading brand of baby products in Korea, with a wide range of premium eco-friendly products. They have visited BKSFIMI for the first time, and have found “new business opportunities”, as well as interesting products from manufacturers in Spain, Portugal and other European countries.
The fashion of the future parades at Nuditos and FIMI Kids Fashion Week
Young talent has taken the catwalk at BKSFIMI with Nuditos, which once again has served as a showcase for the proposals of fashion design students, in this case from EASD Castelló. Designs in which warm colours, such as red and salmon, and along with the range of blues, are trendy in garments designed to be used on multiple occasions.
The second runway show of the FIMI Kids Fashion Week “Magic Winter Smiles” has also taken place. With the support of ICEX, coordinated by ASEPRI and Feria Valencia, the brands Gocco, Boboli, Dadati, Nora Baby Bag By Cambrass, Newness, Tartaleta, Tuc Tuc, Nath and Javilar Kids were back on the catwalk with the help of Tenerife Moda. The firms Marae Kids, Azul Izal and Artesanías Filita paraded with the support of the Junta de Castilla y León, while the childcare firm Carello joined this list.
Solidarity is also the protagonist at BKSFIMI
This fifth edition of Babykid Spain + FIMI is having a clear solidarity spin-off in multiple aspects. In addition to the presence of entities such as Aldeas Infantiles SOS, this Thursday the event was visited by a representation of the Fundación Juntos por la Vida. Its president, Clara Arnal, and Gemma Cabrera, visited different exhibitors who are lending their collaboration to give surplus products to families affected by the Dana who have lost everything. For Arnal, “the response from the companies has been very positive”, and he stressed that “the important thing is that the brands continue to support the circular economy by donating part of their surplus to people who need it”.
On the other hand, it is worth noting that two of the exhibiting companies at BKSFIMI 2025, Eve Children and Gamberritos, were seriously affected by the storm on October 29. For this reason, the event has provided all its support to make it possible for them to exhibit and project their products once again this year.
