The kid universe international fair, that will take place from the 25th to 27th of January 2024 in Feria Valencia, already registers 582 foreign buyers from 42 countries, and consolidates the appointment as a platform for business and internationalization for more than 450 exhibiting brands.
València, January 3rd 2024.- BabyKid Spain + FIMI, Spain’s leading international fair for the sector, consolidates its commitment for internationalization and confirms the interest of the main foreign markets to be present at the event co-organized by Feria Valencia and the Spanish association ASEPRI. In fact, to date, there is a total of 582 foreign buyers from 42 countries from all five continents already registered.
These are self-registered professionals, as well as VIP buyers invited through the various reverse and prescription missions promoted by ICEX, IVACE Internacional, Feria Valencia y ASEPRI. Professionals with high purchasing power who look for the latest trends and new collections in what is the sector’s benchmark fair, unique for combining childcare and fashion.
Among the markets of origin, 73% of buyers are European, especially Italy, Portugal and mediterranean countries. In addition, at Feria Valencia there Will also be appointments with Latin American professionals (36%), the Middle East (33%) and Africa (18%). In more detail, the buyers from the following countries stand out: Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, El Salvador, USA, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Irak, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Morocco, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Romania, Uruguay and Venezuela.
As for their profile, the common denominator is their high purchasing power and prescription. For example, from Armenia, Reyma and Kids Group, the main operators in the market with eight stores, Will be present at Babykid + FIMI; from Latin America, Tia Mia, with four stores in Guatemala, Mikomar, with 12 stores in Uruguay and Bebelandia, one of the main operators in Ecuador with 30 stores; as well as, for the first time, the large department store Almacenes Siman, established throughout Latin America, Will also be present at the fair.
Other markets with great projection worth highlighting are Poland, Bulgaria and Romania. Bulgarian store chains Comsed and Bokal Will visit the fair, shop chain profiles that represent 20% of the foreign buyers in this next Babykid Spain + FIMI edition, and among which the Italian stores Ideal Bimbo, IO Bimbo and Iperbimbo also stand out.
As for the accredited international press, and thanks to the support of ICEX, the best specialised media in the children’s products sector have confirmed their attendance, which Will mean a great diffusion of BKS + FIMI outside of Spain. Thus, from Germany, Luna Magazine and Childhood Business, magazines specialised in baby and kids’ world; from Italy, ELLE Kids have confirmed their presence at the fair; from Portugal, Portugal Textil Will be attending, from UK CWB and Baby and Kid Store and Kids a la Mode will cover the fair for Turkey and the United States of America, respectively.

In fact, on top of the confirmed international buyers, there are thousands of national buyers and professionals that want to see the latest trends and place orders during the fair. Professionals in search of products to stock up for the new season, commercial agents who connect manufacturers with prescribing selling points, national press or even influencers in the children’s world.
In addition to the commercial aspect, this year there will be parallel activities that BKS + FIMI is preparing, such as FIMI Kids Fashion Week or BabyKid Childcare Week, an exclusive catwalk repeated after its premiere at last year’s edition of BKS + FIMI.
