BKS+FIMI attracts buyers from 5 continents

From 22 to 24 January, Feria Valencia will become the world epicenter of the children’s sector, bringing together more than 500 leading brands and 300 VIP buyers from 54 countries. All in a gross area of 20.00m2 with a 12% increase in brands compared to 2024.

The 5th edition of BKS+FIMI, with a 50% increase in the attendance of international VIP clients compared to the previous year, is the result of an intense promotional campaign and reverse missions organised by ASEPRI, with the support of IVACE, ICEX and Feria Valencia.

By sectors, 66% of the international clients have children’s fashion in their catalogue, while up to 82% offer childcare and toys. Finally, 37% of the buyers attending the event include footwear in their offer. In other words, a large number of these companies sell all three sectors at the same time in their businesses.

As for geographical areas, most buyers come from Europe. Among the 18 nationalities that have confirmed their attendance, Italy and Portugal stand out, accounting for 60% of European clients. The remaining 26% are non-European companies, with 5% from Africa, 12% from Asia and 9% from America: among the more than 36 countries represented are the USA, Morocco, Peru, Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Costa Rica and Panama, among others.

Some of the international VIP clients that will be at Babykid Spain + FIMI are the Polish chain XXXLutz, with 350 points of sale; Hankyu from Japan or Blue Salon from Qatar, both international reference department stores. Also present will be the Turkish chain Bgstore Magazacilik, and the Latin American Falabella, with 35 shops in Peru and 42 in Chile.

Also of note is the presence of major importers from countries such as Nigeria, Thailand, Japan, Turkey, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Egypt.

Support for national buyers
In addition, and with the support of Feria Valencia and the coordination of ASEPRI, 450 hotel nights have been confirmed for national VIP clients from all the Autonomous Communities, with the number of shops from Catalonia, Andalusia, Madrid and Galicia standing out in terms of number.

A showcase for the latest trends in the children’s world
The fair has become a point of reference for the latest novelties in children’s fashion, footwear, childcare and toys. In this edition, the exhibition area has been extended, occupying Hall 7, the largest at Feria Valencia.

Fimi Kids Fashion Week ‘Magic Winter Smiles’ catwalk show
It will take place on 22 and 23 January and promises to be an event full of magic under the theme ‘Magic Winter Smiles’. In this edition, children’s fashion brands will present their collections for the autumn-winter 25/26 season.

The catwalk will be supported by ICEX, which will allow Spanish children’s fashion to be taken to the international arena. This support from ICEX will be boosted through a digital campaign in Mexico, USA, Canada and Chile that will amplify the presence of the brands in these markets from February to April 2025.

Participating in the ICEX show, coordinated by ASEPRI and with the support of Feria Valencia, are the Spanish brands GOCCO, BOBOLI, DADATI, JAVILAR KIDS, NEWNESS, NORA BABY BAGS by CAMBRASS, TARTALETA, TUC TUC, NATH and NORA BABY BAGS BY CAMBRASS. These firms will showcase the best of Spanish children’s fashion, consolidating the catwalk as a key platform for the industry.

In addition, the Junta de Castilla y León will support the catwalk participation of the brands MARAE KIDS, AZUL IZAL and ARTESANIAS FILITA.

CARELLO, a childcare brand, will also be on show, presenting its latest innovations in pushchairs.

The exhibition of more than 500 collections and the FKFW catwalk, which will show the latest trends in the children’s world, has won over customers from all over the world.
