From 12th to 14th May, Feria Valencia will be hosting the season’s two major fashion fairs: Día Mágico by FIMI, the fair for communion and occasion wear, and FIMI Summer, the spring/summer fair for children’s fashion. The two are taking place together in response to Spanish and international buyers seeking to concentrate their purchasing into a single period in their calendar and signals a unique alliance with the collections as the stars of the show.
Also, Día Mágico by FIMI turns 10 this year and will be celebrating with a very special edition in which the entire industry will be involved.
Valencia, 8th february 2023.- Feria Valencia is poised to host the two most important events in children’s and teen fashion at its facilities from 12th to 14th May: FIMI Summer and its spring/summer collections are set to join Día Mágico by FIMI, the one and only fair for communion and occasion wear, which is 10 years old this year. Running in parallel, the two fairs share synergies and will draw both Spanish and international visitors to attend.
“This joining together of the two fairs is in response to what Spanish and international buyers, who are looking to concentrate their purchasing into a single period in their calendar, asked for. A unique alliance with the collections as the stars of the show”, explains Alicia Gimeno, director of the two events, which will be taking place in Feria Valencia’s Hall 5.
The aim in staging Día Mágico by FIMI and FIMI spring/summer together is to present a powerful showcase in the form of two fairs that the whole domestic market will attend, along with a greater number of foreign buyers. In Gimeno’s view, “Exhibitors will have a clear opportunity to open up new markets. We know that times are going to be very tight for fashion, footwear and accessories, but you have to try to reach that whole audience”.
The prime focus of this international event is children’s fashion, and it will feature collections of communion and occasion wear in the Día Mágico by FIMI show, along with collections of fashion, footwear and accessories under the FIMI Summer banner. “The alliance between Día Mágico by FIMI and FIMI Summer is a commitment by and to all professionals involved in the world of childhood”, says Gimeno, adding that the staging will be different to the usual FIMI form.
10 years of Día Mágico
What is more, Día Mágico by FIMI is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary. It will be doing so in spectacular fashion with a unique, very special edition of the event, brimming with designs and supported by the everyone involved in the industry. This tenth edition will once again be showcasing the latest creations from the leading brands of communion and occasion wear, with the full spectrum of buyers in attendance – buyers who come to Día Mágico by FIMI to see the latest designs. Brands, retailers and the event itself will be marking these ten years that are a significant milestone for the fair whose growth year on year has mirrored that of the sector and occupied an important niche as the only fair in the world dedicated exclusively to this area of fashion.
